Wanna go to prison?

Did you know that carrying your firearm under your constitutional carry rights – as recognized by the State of Missouri – within a federal Gun Free School Zone Act (GFSZA) zone is a federal felony?

Penalty: 18 U.S.C. § 924(a)(4) establishes the penalty for violating GFSZA

Whoever violates the Act shall be fined not more than $5,000, imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or both. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the term of imprisonment imposed under this paragraph shall not run concurrently with any other term of imprisonment imposed under any other provision of law.

A conviction under the GFSZA will cause an individual to become a “prohibited person” under the Gun Control Act of 1968. It is unlawful for a “prohibited person” to own, purchase, or possess “firearms” as defined by US federal law. A US presidential pardon may remove this civil disability.

18 U.S.C. § 924(a)(4)

Under the GFSZA there are nearly 3000 public and private schools in Missouri with 1000 foot buffer no-go zones extending outward from each school’s PROPERTY LINES. Your government once convicted a woman for having a gun in her home. See, United States v Nieves-Castaño, 480 F.3d 597 (1st Cir. 2007).

Do you know where those property lines are? No? Don’t feel bad…NOBODY knows where every Missouri school’s property lines are? But that won’t keep the Feds from prosecuting you for a felony if you are caught innocently exercising your Missouri Constitutional Carry rights within that zone.

If you don’t know the law and exactly where you are in relationship to every one of the 3000+/- schools are, to misquote a popular comedian, “you might just be a felon.”

Don’t be a Felon.
